Product Description
The Katmai Lightweight Leash for Cats & Small Dogs is designed for smaller companions who benefit from a leash that feels light, flexible, and unobtrusive. Made from the same rugged, low-maintenance material as our Denali Traditional Leash, this version is slimmer and lighter, making it an excellent everyday choice for cats and small dogs who prefer minimal weight without sacrificing durability..
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT:
• Lightweight and Comfortable: 1/2" wide and just 2mm thick, this leash offers a noticeably lighter feel, helping reduce tension and drag for smaller pets during walks, training, or supervised outdoor time.. • Moves Naturally: Soft, flexible, and unobtrusive, this leash allows for smooth handling and easy movement, supporting confident exploration without feeling restrictive. • Well-suited for Everyday Use: Ideal for daily walks, training sessions, and long-line use where freedom of movement matters but control is still essential. • Artisanal Quality: Each leash is made-to-order with care and comes standard with a tasteful, permanent shop inscription. • Built to Last:Lightweight does not mean delicate. This leash is backed by our Lifetime Guarantee.
PLEASE NOTE (Hardware & Custom Options):
• Autolocking carabiners will always have a black and silver finish and come standard with silver hardware accents, including screws and D-rings, for durability. • In an effort to keep these leashes as lightweight as possible, D-rings do not come standard on Katmai Leashes. • Long line leashes are not designed to be used as tie-out gear. Damage caused by tethering a dog will not be covered under warranty. We do not recommend tethering due to the increased risk of loss, equipment damage, and injury. If you plan to tether your dog, please purchase equipment specifically designed for that purpose. • For convertible leashes and slip leads, stopper color will match your chosen leash color unless otherwise specified in the Special Instructions.

We absolutely love our new leash, and Scooby loves it too! He often grabs it in his mouth and carries it himself! 🥹🐶
I love that it’s waterproof and doesn’t need to be washed - I can simply wipe it clean with wipes. The extra ring on the handle is super convenient (I attach the 💩 bag holder to it). The design is beautiful, it feels great in your hand, and the bright color looks amazing.
Another big plus is that it’s not too heavy, even though ours is 15 ft long. That was really important to me because I tried ordering other leashes of the same length, and they were all way too heavy.
Thank you! We’re very happy with it! ❤️
This is our 3rd Sloppy Chops leash - all for different seasons & reasons, different lengths, different colors. The quality is truly outstanding. This grey beauty is great for Spring/Summer when I want my girl to have some extra length for sniffing at local green spaces.
Great personalized customer service. One of the best dog gear shops ever!
I got it in 16ft for our daily decompression walks and it is my absolute favorite leash ever. Super easy and light to take in the slack and actually feels nice in my hands.
My dog is 75lb but the leash feels sturdy and strong.
I seriously love thin leashes, and this one was PERFECT for me. The material is nice, feels completely well made and works wonders when paired with training tools due to how light it is.
Absolutely in love with this leash! It’s the perfect size for my yorkie. Since I added the o-ring, I can attach the leash to itself to wear it as a cross body for off-leash days. It feels so smooth and durable in my hand and couldn’t imagine a better leash. Plus isn’t the matching set just so classy and pretty :)
Just got my 15’ leashes for my hikes! They’re amazing and I’m thinking of adding another longer length to my collection. Thank you for such amazing service and products!
We already loved the long line we got for our one dog in this line, so I ordered another for my older dog who can't hear as well and doesn't have the greatest recall anymore. Our dogs have their freedom while hiking and I am put in ease having them still in my control. I also love that they are easy to hold onto and super easy to wash off the dirt that may get on the leash. I highly recommend this product to anyone.
Favorite leash!
I’ve had my leashes for three years now and use them every single day for both my small dog and large dog. They are hands-down the best leashes I have ever owned. I love the thin width on these, making them easy to handle. They are also super easy to clean as they are constantly dragged through all the elements!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
I got a 4 foot leash for my 11 lb shichon and I'm absolutely in love. It's lightweight, so he's not having to drag it around like he was doing with my eurolead I have for my golden retriever, and it's beautiful!
Amazing
Before purchasing this leash, I was using one that I had bought at the dollar store. After one walk using this leash, I am never going back! It's the perfect balance of sturdy and flexible. We got the nanook color and I love not having to fear the leash getting dirty. My one regret is only buying one!
PERFECT training leash
I love this leash so much! When we began to practice for rally I wanted a leash that was lightweight but still could be used for day to day walks outside of training. When I saw this leash on the website I was sold and am so happy I got it! Will purchase again!
